V sobotu (21. 2.), po dlouhé nemoci, zemřel ve věku 75 let prof. Petr Semeniuk, dlouholetý předseda Středočeského územního svazu.

Prof. Semeniuk se stal nejvýraznější postavou našeho územního svazu v nedávných letech a výrazně se zapsal pod jeho současnou podobu. V čele SÚS stál 12 let až do loňské konference, na které již ze zdravotních důvodů nekandidoval. Přesto byl znovu zvolen do výboru územního svazu, neboť se těšil velké autoritě v rybářském hnutí a jeho zkušenosti a kontakty byly pro územní svaz klíčové.

Prof. ing. Petr Semeniuk, CSc se narodil 1. 2. 1940. Byl absolventem Vysoké školy ekonomické. Působil jako vysokoškolský pedagog na VŠ hotelové v Praze, na ZČU v Plzni a VŠE v Praze.

O roku 1965 byl funkcionářem Českého rybářského svazu, kde působil mimo jiné jako předseda ČRS (2002 – 2010), předseda SÚS (2002 – 2014) a byl předsedou MO Říčany.

„Je to pro nás velká ztráta, pan profesor nám bude velmi chybět. Pro mě odešla jedna z nejvýraznějších postav současného českého rybářství. Vím, jak mu velmi záleželo na tom, kam se bude náš územní svaz ubírat a vzpomínám si, jak mě ještě před konferenci pozval k sobě a chtěl velmi podrobně slyšet, jaké mám plány. Teprve pak jsem od něj dostal ´požehnání´,“ uvedl předseda SÚS Dušan Hýbner.
